Anthony Hoskisson – Managing Director
Anthony founded Questa in 2007, having previously worked for some of the industry’s largest names; experience which has prepared him well for running his own practice. As an adviser, having been very much a generalist in the past, Anthony now specialises in protecting and increasing wealth for both private and corporate clients.

Away from the office Anthony is an involved member of the community, maintaining close links with Fylde Rugby Club and Arnold School. He is married with four children, which Anthony explains is far more challenging than running a business!

Stuart Dewin – Director & Chartered Financial Planner

Stuart is one of just over nine hundred Certified Financial Planning Professionals in the UK. He is also an associate of the Personal Finance Society and was awarded the highly prestigious Chartered Financial Planner status in 2011.

Stuart has in excess of 10 years experience in financial services, having started his career at Guardian Financial Services before joining a firm of financial planners where he gained his formative planning experience. Stuart joined Questa Chartered Financial Planners when it was founded in 2007 and was appointed a Director in 2010.

Stuart provides high quality financial and investment advice to people who are committed to making the most of their money and making the most of their life.

Stuart lives in Ansdell with his wife and three children. In his spare time he enjoys most sports including football and golf and very much enjoys spending time with his family.

Dina Patel – Senior Paraplanner
***Questa Chartered’s Paraplanner of the Year 2011***
Dina joined Questa in March 2010 as a Senior Paraplanner. Dina brings with her a wealth of paraplanning knowledge with over 15 years experience working within the financial services sector. Dina moved to England over 20 years ago, prior to which she was an Actuarial Analyst in New Zealand (her home country). Her areas of expertise are pensions and trust work.

Dina continues to study for her exams to ensure her technical knowledge covers all areas of financial planning required in her role as a Senior Paraplanner. Dina is also part of the Senior Management Team, providing support to the Directors and helping to achieve the high standards expected from the Questa team in delivering a quality service to every client.

Dina is married and has two teenage boys. She enjoys travelling around the world, has visited over 30 different countries and hopes to add to this list in the near future!

Pip Barker – Senior Administrator
Pip joined Questa Chartered in July 2009, having worked in the financial services sector since 2005, gaining experience in all areas of financial services administration.

Pip lives locally in Lytham and has a young son, Harry. In her spare time Pip enjoys fell walking, especially in the Lake District, cycling and swimming.

Christopher Crichton-Rankin – Business Development Manager
Christopher comes from a financial background, having entered the world of Banking in 2002 and later gaining experience with another firm of financial planners before joining Questa Chartered in January 2011.

Although he has attained the necessary qualifications to advise, Christopher performs a business development role, introducing Questa’s proposition and expert services to professional connections and prospective clients. To keep abreast with current techniques Christopher continues to study for industry exams; presently the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Away from the office Christopher has a keen interest in music, enjoys dining with friends, and spends “more time than is healthy” building a small buy-to-let portfolio.

Chris Blackburn – Senior Consultant
Chris has over 40 years of experience in financial services, a career which began with Standard Life as a trainee accountant, and later their Agency representative in the Fylde Coast from 1973 until 1985. Chris then became Managing Director of Hargreave Hale Financial Services Ltd from 1985 and was appointed as a registered representative of The London Stock Exchange. The company was one of the first independent firms of financial advisers in the north west to offer a discretionary management service in collective investments. Following a management buy-out Chris became owner and Managing Director of the financial services company and remained as a financial advisor (IFA) in the retirement planning market, organising retirement planning courses for companies such as BNFL, ICI, NHS, LCC, local authorities, Fire and Rescue, paying particular attention to taxation and trust matters associated with modern investment portfolio techniques. Chris is happily married with two children and enjoys swimming, as a former international competitor and qualified instructor. He enjoys several voluntary activities, as a member of Lytham St Annes Civic Society, and having joined the Witch Wood Volunteers he helps maintain our local woodlands. He is a Director of Cypress Point Management Co Ltd assisting with the maintenance of this prestigious housing development and a member of Neighbourhood Watch. Dave Oldrid – Financial Planner
David (known to his clients as Dave) joined Questa when the firm started in 2007 after working with Anthony at Becketts Financial Services for approximately six years. Prior to this he worked with Prudential Assurance as a financial consultant for eleven years.

Dave is a financial planner, advising on the full range of financial services available, though specialising in pensions and investments. He has a broad range of clients from small businesses to individual clients of all ages.

Dave was born in Blackpool and has two adult children. He is keen on most sports, plays squash for a local team where he is also Club Secretary.

Gareth Griffiths – Financial Planner
Gareth joined Questa soon after the company launched in 2007, before which he worked with Questa’s directors at Becketts Financial Services. He specialises in advising clients on pensions and investments. Gareth’s existing clients are mostly near or of retirement age.

Gareth is married with two children and enjoyed playing cricket in the Palace Shield before he hung his boots up. To keep fit he now plays badminton on a non-competitive basis.

Gus Williamson – Financial Planner
Gus will be a familiar face to many in the North Fylde area, having spent more than 18 years working in various branches of the TSB, mainly in Thornton and Cleveleys. A Thornton resident, Gus has been with Questa since the company formed and advises clients on most aspects of financial planning, including pensions, investments and mortgages.

Gus is married and has two young children. He is a keen golfer and lifetime member of Fleetwood where he has played since he was eight years old. Although his handicap is just five, Gus is forever trying to improve his game.

Susanne Garrod – Mortgage Consultant
Susanne joined Questa in 2007 before which she had twenty-six years banking experience with LTSB.

Susanne is the lead Mortgage Consultant at Questa dealing with residential purchases, remortgages, buy to let Mortgages and specialising in Equity Release.

Susanne is married with two children. She is a keen tennis player and regularly plays for Wrea Green tennis Club. She enjoys long walks and watching rugby, supporting both Fylde RFC and whoever her children play for! In addition she is a season ticket holder for Blackpool FC and enjoyed the premiership whilst it lasted! In her spare time- there is no spare time!!

Nadia Nay – Paraplanner
Nadia has over 7 years of experience of working in the financial services sector and is currently studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Nadia lives in Blackpool with her husband and they are both keen Blackpool FC supporters. In her spare time she likes to keep active by playing netball, swimming and horse riding.

Richard Openshaw – Administrator

Richard joined Questa Chartered in May 2008 having graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in History. He specialises in the Wrap platforms that we use on a daily basis and enjoys the research and analytical part of his job.

Richard has recently married and is a keen cricketer, playing for Lytham CC first XI. He also plays rugby at Fylde RFC and enjoys travelling.

Lucy Wain – Administrator
***Questa Chartered’s Employee of the Year 2011***
Lucy joined Questa Chartered in March 2011 as an Administrator. She is new to Financial Services, however very keen to progress with a career in this field. Lucy is currently studying for an exam in Investments which she plans to sit shortly.

In her spare time, Lucy is a member of a local gym which she attends regularly. She also enjoys spending time with family and socialising with friends.

Lucy was voted Questa Chartered’s ‘Employee of the year’, highlighting her dedication and enthusiasm to be an effective, integral part of the business.
